Provision of Ancillary Chartering Services
Since 1977, the company has been providing ancillary services in chartering of small inland oil field vessels to major International Oil Companies within the Niger Delta region of Nigeria. These activities were carried out through our affiliate companies namely Walvis Nigeria Limited (WALVIS) and Sea Trucks Nigeria (STN).
Development of Boat Building and Marine Support Facilities
1980 - Our operations expanded to include a Glass Reinforce Plastic (GRP) boat-building factory and Marine Support facilities in Warri, Delta State, for the repair and maintenance of our fleet.
Diversification of Operations
1990 - Our capabilities were diversified to include a Dry Dock, supply base, and Anchor Handling Tugs and Supply (AHTS) fleet at Onne, Rivers State.
Establishment of WAV
1995 - Establishment of West African Ventures Limited, your 100% Nigerian partner.
Expansion of Operations
2000 - Further expansion and development of the fleet to include cargo barges, Construction / Accommodation /Pipelay vessels. Performing projects / chartering work and further development of the fabrication yard in Onne, Rivers State.
Delivery of DP Vessels
2010 - Delivery of Multi-Purpose Vessels, Platform Supply Vessels, with Dynamic Positioning (DP) capability.
Continued Expansion of DP and OOIM Fleet
2020 - Future - Ongoing expansion of our DP and Other Offshore Installation Marine (OOIM) fleet and further growth of project portfolio to deep waters and larger projects in Nigeria and West Africa.
